Project play 365 is my 2010 New Year's Resolution - to play with the kids every day. I am looking for connection, quality time, and more joy out of each day. We have the kids for such a short time, I want to make the most of it!

I'll also have other updates as far as my wish list, cool stuff and solutions I find - and my general ruminations. Please comment liberally...I need all the support I can get!

Day 4

Nerf fun ! by 4PIZON.

OK, now that I am caught up, whew - I am happy to report that the first "real day" of NYR 2010 went well, and DH is on board to play each day as well.  :) 

Today after a yummy dinner of cereal (kids) and samosas (us), we rang in the new year with a nerf gun fight.  OK, so it devolved into me and DH stealthing around to shoot each other and the kids laughing at us.  But, I did continue to play Bat Cave with Cal while Eileigh colored next to me in her guided doodle book. 

It was harder than I thought to divert the kids from the default (TV) - to playtime.  Especially when they were SO worn out from the first day back at school, they just wanted to veg and were a bit whiny.  I never thought I would have to convince them to play but, I will do whatever it takes!
